We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Summer Student to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role provides hands-on experience across a range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and HR project work.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a fast-paced healthcare environment and contribute to initiatives that support employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding
n
- Assist with drafting and posting job advertisements
- Prepare new hire documentation and onboarding packages
- Assist with reviewing applications through the resume portal
n
HR Administration
n
- Maintain and update employee files (electronic and paper)
- Assist with data entry and reporting in HRIS systems
- Support tracking of employee documentation (e.g., certifications, training)
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee information
nProjects & Continuous Improvementn
- Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates,
process mapping, or file audits
- Assist with data collection and basic analysis for HR metrics
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team

Qualifications
n
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Access to reliable transportation as this position will be reporting to our various sites.
