Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, ensuring adherence to authentic recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations related to tandoori food preparation, maintaining efficiency and quality control
- Supervise kitchen staff involved in food production, providing guidance on techniques, safety procedures, and cleanliness
- Manage inventory levels of spices, ingredients, and supplies specific to tandoori cuisine to prevent waste and ensure freshness
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, incorporating new dishes and refining existing offerings based on customer feedback




- Maintain strict food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist in training new team members on tandoori cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
- Support catering events and banquet functions requiring specialized tandoori dishes with precision and flair

Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Tandoori Chef or in a similar role within Indian cuisine or fine dining establishments
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience managing kitchen teams effectively
- Strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management practices
- Knowledge of inventory control, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with banquet service, catering operations, and restaurant management is preferred
- Excellent cooking skills with expertise in tandoori oven operation and traditional preparation methods
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate staff, and uphold high culinary standards
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic environment
