and collaborates with other health care providers Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice Maintains and advances own clinical competence Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned This is a Relief Part Time (0.62) opportunity until October 26, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days rotating from 08:00 to 20:00 hours.

About this Location The Slocan Community Health Centre serves the villages of New Denver, Silverton, Slocan, and Rosebery.

It is a small rural Health Centre with residential unit that has 30 beds and 24-hour emergency department.

It is located on the eastern shore of Slocan Lake with the peaks of the Valhalla Mountains rising more than 2,100 metres on the opposite shore.

All manner of water sports include kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, water skiing.

In the winter, down hill, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are the outdoor sports of choice.

New Denver has a strong sense of community where artisans, environmentalists, tourism operators and many other entrepreneurs and businesses work together.

The local high school supports grades k-12 The sheer physical beauty still stuns local citizens when they take a closer look at the Shangri-La.
