Our management team and staff embrace progressive approaches to learning and provide an engaging and fulfilling educational experience for our students.
We are headquartered at permanent campus locations in Langley and Victoria, and also deliver our programs throughout the province by rotating through a large number of historically underserved communities.
Columbia Paramedic Academy is part of Columbia Learning Group, a leader in paramedic and first aid training and curriculum development. Our sister companies, Heartsafe EMS and Columbia Medical Training, offer a range of first aid and first responder courses.

A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Learning, the Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley is responsible for carrying out complex education leadership and administrative tasks in support of the Langley Advanced Care Paramedic cohort.
The Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley plays an key academic leadership role critical to program sustainability and student success. As the program champion, the Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley facilitates key academic and operational processes, working collaboratively with the Manager, educators, and support staff.
The Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley serves as the primary day-to-day support person for ACP students and is responsible for scheduling educational staff and/or facilitating in-person workshops. The Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley is not required to be an expert in all areas of paramedicine, as courses frequently utilize other experienced educators and subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead delivery of the more technical aspects of this training. The ACP program is challenging,
and the Academy takes pride in finding administrative staff, educators, and managers who celebrate our students' successes and feel personally motivated to help when students struggle.
If you are passionate about both teaching and paramedicine and wish to mentor and train new paramedics in a supportive learning environment, this is the role for you.
The Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley will join an existing team of educators and program support staff, including the current Senior Academic Coordinator–Langley for the ongoing 2024 Langley cohort, who will be able to share their knowledge and familiarity with the curriculum, program, and role itself.
