Hydrovac Swamper/Helper

Location: Aurora, ON
Compensation: $36.95

PGC Services Inc. is a rapidly growing leader in Ontario’s Hydrovac Excavation market. We are looking to add Hydrovac Swampers/Helpers to our fast-paced team in Aurora, ON.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with hydro excavation projects, including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and excavation around underground piping and cables.
- Support the safe and professional operation of Hydro-Vac trucks and equipment.
- Set up and inspect grounding and bonding procedures for Hydro-Vac operation.
- Ensure all equipment and components are always in good working condition.
- Perform pre-and post-trip inspections, routine maintenance, and general housekeeping of the unit.
- Report any deficiencies or maintenance issues to the manager.
- Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work in confined spaces and be physically able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Be available for irregular shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- 1-3 years of experience with Hydro Vac excavation (an asset but not required).
- Previous experience in construction or excavation is preferred.
- Must be hardworking, reliable, and resourceful.
- Solid work ethic with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
