The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Elementary French Immersion Teacher at École Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026. The initial assignment will include teaching grade one.

is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrolment of approximately 360 students. Programming at the school consists of English, French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Kindergarten to Grade 4 students.
Peace River is a town in northwest Alberta, Canada. It is along the banks of the Peace River at its confluence with the Smoky River, the Heart River and Pat's Creek. Qualifications
- BEd, primary focus preferred.
- Evidence of life-long learning or continuous career development that is reflected in classroom practice.
- Evidence of effective use of technology for communication and teaching practice.
- Effective pedagogical strategies in both numeracy and literacy in primary grades.
- Inclusion mindset and practices.
- School wide involvement.
- Solid French Language Skills

- Short, mid and long range planning
- Strengths-based focused, pro-active teaching and management
- Effective and balanced assessment strategies
- Solution focused collaboration skills
- Community and family-focused, including building the school community

Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check, dated within six (6) months of your application.

Annual Salary Range: $ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
