About Us

Located at 7251 Yonge Street in Innisfil, InnTerprises Inc. is a community-focused organization owned by the Town of Innisfil. We invest in innovative infrastructure that supports local growth, connectivity, and sustainability; from EV charging stations and sentinel lighting to telecommunications and community development projects.

The Opportunity

As a Board Member for InnTerprises Inc., you will collaborate with fellow directors to provide strategic oversight, governance, and leadership to support the organization’s long-term success, financial sustainability, and operational excellence.

This is an exciting chance to contribute your expertise to a forward-thinking utility and make a meaningful impact within a growing community.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Attend and actively participate in board and committee meetings

· Provide strategic direction and oversight to the organization

· Review and approve corporate policies, budgets, and major initiatives

· Monitor organizational performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance

· Support and evaluate executive leadership





· Uphold strong governance practices and ethical standards

· Act in the best interests of the Corporation and its stakeholders

Qualifications

· Prior board or governance experience

· Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

· Demonstrated leadership experience at a senior or executive level

· Understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and corporate governance best practices

· Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:

- Energy or utilities sector
- Finance, accounting, or audit
- Legal, governance, or regulatory compliance
- Engineering, infrastructure, or capital projects
- Public sector or municipal governance
