We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Ottawa, Ontario. This role involves supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management. If you have strong organizational and communication skills and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to HR operations.Responsibilities:- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees who are authorized to work in the applicable locations and the United States, ensuring a seamless transition.- Conduct recruitment activities, including screening applicants and coordinating interviews.- Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits, policies, and procedures.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.- Coordinate year-end HR requirements and reporting tasks.- Collaborate with managers to support training initiatives and employee development.- Manage payroll-related tasks using systems like ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.- Provide ongoing support for HR systems and tools, including ATS and CRM platforms.- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and HR regulations.- Contribute to process improvements within the HR department.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources administration.- Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.- Familiarity with recruitment processes, including applicant tracking systems (ATS)
