The Opportunity

As Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) Foundation’s fundraising initiatives. You are organized, proactive, and relationship-focused, with a passion for connecting people to meaningful causes. In this role, you will coordinate and execute fundraising programs, engage with donors and community partners, and help bring campaigns to life from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned fundraising programs and campaigns from inception through post-program analysis, including tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables. Portfolios are assigned by the Director of Development and may include annual campaigns, third-party fundraisers, and other strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities and challenges within fundraising initiatives and contribute ideas and strategies to maximize outcomes. Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and inform future fundraising strategies.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and Interior Health personnel, ensuring a positive and professional experience in every interaction.
- Support donor engagement efforts across the full donor cycle, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Collaborate with the Content and Communications Specialist to develop and execute program-specific communication plans, including drafting cases for support, key messaging, and program/campaign materials.




- Execute communications across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, website content, social media, and advertising, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational messaging.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records, contact reports, and program documentation, supporting reporting, analysis, and informed decision-making.
- Assist with database management, data entry, and tracking of fundraising performance metrics.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values, and providing administrative or reception support as needed.

Licence/Certification:
