Job Summary

The Class 5 Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of fresh and frozen meat products to customers. This role ensures proper handling of temperature-sensitive goods, maintains high food safety standards, and provides excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a company vehicle with a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Deliver fresh and frozen meat products to restaurants, retailers, and distribution centers
- Load and unload product safely, ensuring proper handling of perishable goods
- Verify delivery quantities against invoices and obtain customer signatures
- Maintain required temperature controls during transport
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and route documentation
- Collect payments if required and submit proper documentation
- Provide courteous and professional customer service





Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record
- 1–3 years of delivery driving experience (food distribution preferred)
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Good communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in meat or refrigerated food distribution
- Familiarity with temperature-controlled vehicles
- Knowledge of local delivery routes
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections

Work Environment

- Frequent lifting and physical activity
- Early morning or flexible shifts may be required
- Exposure to refrigerated and freezer environments
- Rapid-paced food production and distribution setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
