Cook – Haven Lobby Bar

Haven Lobby Bar is the heart of the guest dining experience at the Best Western Plus Okotoks. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring our hotel guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is confident working in a rapid-paced kitchen environment, has a solid understanding of food preparation and safety, and takes pride in consistency, teamwork, and quality. Our Cooks also play an important role in creating a positive, safe, and respectful workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and Haven Lobby Bar standards
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety regulations
- Participate in training to improve cooking skills and culinary knowledge

Skills & Qualifications





- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or hotel kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and tools (knives, grills, ovens, fryers, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for cooking and delivering consistently great food

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour
