What to Expect:

We are seeking an experienced brewery assistant, a self driven and professional individual who is enthusiastic about creating consistent and high-quality beer with industry leading tools and equipment. A clean and sanitary environment will be top of priorities. You will be an integral part of the brewing team, working hand in hand with our Head of Brewing. Details will be the focus while ensuring the highest level of standards are reached for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the brewer during brews on our 20 HL mash filter brewhouse
- Mill grains and weigh ingredients
- Clean and sanitize tanks and other brewery equipment
- Setup an sanitize lines and transfer loops
- Transfer beers and prepare them for packaging
- Help with yeast harvesting and cell counting
- Oversee beer filtrations with our state-of-the-art crossflow filter
- Operate semi-automatic keg cleaner-filler
- Monitor brewery processes
- Maintain brewery cleanliness
- Maintain a safe working setting

Daily Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Perform repetitive tasks / stand for long periods of time / climb stairs and ladders safely and repeatedly / bend and lift safely and repeatedly
- Ability to work safely with high pressure / temperature liquids and/or gases
- Ability to learn quickly and understand complex equipment and processes

Assets to Have

- Brewing training, knowledge, or experience
- Beverage or food production or packaging experience
- Forklift / pallet jack certification and/or experience
- WHMIS certification
- First-aid certification
- Quality control and quality assurance experience
- Yeast cell counting experience
- Experience with SAP Business one brewery management software
