Position: Cook / Kitchen Assistant (Growth into Lead Kitchen)

This Position is SEASONAL May - Sept (part time hours possible in off season but not guaranteed)

Location: 205 Main Street, Port Stanley, Ontario inside The Telegraph House

Pay: $17.60 + Tip Out

Availability: 8 - 24+ hours a week

Shift: 9am - 5pm or anything in between (subject to change)

Availability For Occasional Evening Events

Hours of operation:

Monday - Sunday 10am - 4pm

Your Role at Littles

In this role, you'll be responsible for helping create a positive and creative kitchen environment, where quality and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside an experienced chef, you’ll be producing dishes that look amazing and taste exceptional, while developing your own culinary skills. As you grow in the role, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility — eventually stepping up to run the kitchen on your own.

What You’ll Do:

Open the kitchen to prepare for service





Keep record of low stock items (if running low)

Work efficiently during busy service periods

Assist with prep (chopping, portioning, baking support) for service

Respond to chit machine orders promptly

Make & Plate all menu items according to standard

Dishwashing

Refill and restock items as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen

Communicate clearly with front of house and team members

Help to maintain cleanliness (if needed) in and outside, including sweeping/blowing debris from the patio, cleaning the bathroom, and maintaining a clean bar area.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and a friendly, approachable attitude are key.

You will help uphold the brand’s standards of service and contribute to the smooth operation

Please Note:

We are located in the heart of Port Stanley, Ontario where business is seasonal. During cooler and winter months hours may vary and schedules are subject to change.

Although you will be working alongside Latika Fashions Clothing store, making food and drinks to their customers, you are not required nor responsible to sell clothing.

Uniform - Dress for the weather - Dress for the kitchen - Non Slip Closed Toe Shoes - Chef Pants (Preferably Black) , T-Shirt / Long Sleeve (White or Black) - Aprons Provided - Chef Jackets Allowed (not required) Please Dress Appropriately.

Events will be occasional throughout the year. Most events will be Friday, Saturdays or Sundays during the summer months. Events may include Live Music, Poolside events, later shifts and more. Please expect to work until 10pm or later on event nights. (if any) Subject to change.

Qualifications:

Kitchen Experience preferred.





Food Handlers Certificate is required.

Smart Serve is a bonus but not required.

Must be comfortable being on your feet and multitasking

Must be 18+

Must be available to work weekends (this is our busiest time)

No long weekends off unless approved at time of hiring

WHMIS training required (provided if needed)

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to handle a high-energy environment
