Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Administrator Familiar with Canadian trucking, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, clerical, and communication skills, with experience in managing office operations efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to oversee daily administrative functions, support other remote workers, and contribute to the overall smooth functioning of our office environment. The Office Administrator will play a key role in vendor management, bookkeeping accounts payables, payroll processing, and supporting human resources initiatives.

Duties

- Oversee front desk operations, including multi-line phone systems and Mobile phone support, a friendly and cooperative team player needed.
- Manage scheduling, filing systems, and document organization to ensure accessibility and security
- Supervise administrative staff and coordinate team management activities
- Handle bookkeeping responsibilities using QuickBooks ONLINE, accounting software
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies
- Assist with human resources tasks such as onboarding, training & development, and employee record keeping
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of supplies and services. Compliance with IFTA reports, Provincial permits, other services related to the trucking industry.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and oversee vendor management for office needs




- Implement budgeting procedures and monitor expenses to stay within allocated limits
- Ensure proper phone etiquette and professional communication at all times

Experience

- Proven experience in office administration or related roles with strong clerical and organizational skills
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating team management capabilities
- Proficiency in QBO, Microsoft Office Suite, and Voip (Ring Central) phone systems is essential
- Prior experience with Trucking/transportation bookkeeping, payroll processing, vendor management, and human resources functions is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle client and employee interactions professionally and respectfully.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in training & development programs is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a quick-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$29.96 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
