Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Only candidates with experience in food preparation and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a quick-paced restaurant environment. 2 -3 years of work experience as a cook in a restaurant is required
Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Cook and plate menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Cook’s food items by grilling, frying, sautéing and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
Plan menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Estimate food requirements and costs
Order supplies and equipment
Experience:
Proven experience as a Line Cook in the food industry or a similar role
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Understanding of food safety practices
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
