Primary Purpose: The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all Fort Erie facilities, grounds, and equipment are in good repair. Essential Job Functions: General Respond to all internal maintenance requests and provide timely resolutions. Ensure all Fort Erie facilities and grounds are clean and safe. Work with the Maintenance Manager to implement and maintain maintenance programs, work plans and schedules for all equipment and building systems, including: production equipment/machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc. Programs should include any routine/recurring cleaning, repairs, or preventative maintenance at appropriate frequencies (e.G. daily, weekly, monthly, annual). Coordinate the development of these maintenance programs/plans/schedules in consultation with other supervisors/coordinators as needed to avoid/minimize disruptions to production/operations. Assist hands‑on as needed in the execution of minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks related to the building, furniture and equipment, including advising when a task is best handled by an outside contractor. Assist with routine inspections of the facilities and equipment and communicate any deficiencies and provide suggestions for enhancement or repair. Inspect all fire extinguishers monthly to ensure they are fully charged and operational. Conduct monthly inspections of emergency lighting, racking, fire extinguishers,



and ladders. Report all defects to the Maintenance Manager. Ensure all jobs are performed in a safe manner, whether completed by internal staff or contractors, following all procedures and safety rules. Immediately respond to all critical and/or safety related maintenance concerns and advise the Maintenance Manager in a timely fashion. Snow removal from sidewalks and around parking lot. Salt entry points and walkways, as required. Make sure sidewalks, building entries, etc. are free from ice or debris. Report any hazards to the Maintenance Manager and the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Supervisory Responsibility: N/A Education and Work Experience: Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Building Maintenance, or a related technical area. Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees, contractors, and service providers. Must have strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Ability to manage own time.



Knowledge of computers and ERP systems. Exhibits a high level of integrity, mutual respect, and employee teamwork at all times. Ability to keep Company information in strict confidence and adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: A significant portion of the workday involves standing, walking, siting, bending, kneeling, climbing and lifting. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to move heavy objects with assistive devices: forklifts and pallet jacks. Manual dexterity and good eye‑hand coordination are needed for some tasks. Tasks like using tools and operating equipment may involve repetitive hand and arm movements. The work is typically performed in a warehouse environment with minimal exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, or other adverse conditions. PPE includes: safety goggles, gloves, and CSA approved work boots hearing protection. The normal work week is up to 40 hours, but the hours will vary according to production demands.
