Human Resources - HR Generalist / Health & Safety 478 14th St, Hanover, ON N4N 1Z9, Canada Job Description Posted Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 5:00 AM Human Resources Generalist / Health & Safety Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Generalist / Health & Safety is responsible for the effective administration of HR and Health & Safety tasks for the Hanover Operations Centre. They will work as part of a collaborative HR Team. Responsibilities Support the JHSC and assist with incident investigations and hazard identification Maintain training records for employee personnel files Ensure policies and procedures are kept up to date with employment standards Assist with the creation and revision of the safe work procedures Organize training sessions Facilitate workplace inspections and JHSC meetings Other duties as assigned Qualifications Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management JSHC certification is considered an asset 1 – 3 years HR or Health & Safety experience preferred; however,



recent graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply Strong understanding of OHSA, ESA, and WSIB is preferred Detail oriented and resourceful self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative Proven ability to maintain confidentiality Strong interpersonal skills with sound written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to handle sensitive issues in a qualified manner Experience in dealing with the public, handling inquiries, and working in a deadline-oriented environment Attention to detail and accuracy is essential along with well-established organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities while recognizing priorities Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and database applications Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset Dayforce HRIS (Ceridian) experience is an asset We do not use artificial intelligence or automated tools to make decisions about your application.
