Position Title: General Labourers

Position Type: Temporary - Full-Time

McCain Farms, a division of McCain Produce Inc., is looking for Temporary General Laborers in multiple locations in Carleton County, NB location to assist with labor and harvesting duties.

DUTIES:

Follow all safety requirements

Material handling of 25-50lbs.

Work in inclement weather

Removal of rocks and debris from loads of potatoes.

Daily clean up

Standing in one place for long periods of time

Walking varying distances daily

Trouble shoot and assist with maintenance of equipment as required.

Relay information to other Team members

Working in a fast-paced team environment

Participate in Team meetings, as required.

All additional duties as they become assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License an asset

Reliable Transportation to and from worksites

Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate ‘safety first’ on a continual basis.

Ability to work well with supervision and other employees

Team player with excellent attendance

Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.

Willing to work weekends and long hours.

Must be self-motivated

Able to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

High School students aged 16 and above may be considered for outside school hours

Compensation Package: Starting at $18.50 CAD hourly.

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
