Starting at $25.00 CAD per hour
Responsibilities:
You will be required and responsible to work in a safe manner. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairing our equipment at our customer sites. Learning the application procedure of our refractory products, complete data tracking, as well as summarizing the daily events. Actively participate in the safety and Operational Excellence program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to work and perform all duties in a safe manner
- Learn how to operate and repair our application equipment
- Understand and apply our refractory products to various areas within the steel mill.
- Correctly complete all required paperwork
- Willingness to be available for after hour service calls
- Ability to follow instructions, and work independently when required
- Work well in team environment
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- High school diploma
- Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting skills.
- Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English.
- Mechanical aptitude, time management, able to schedule and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Reliable and dependable employee.
- Ability to learn quickly.
Physical & Mental:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to withstand the physical pressures of constant standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, sitting, extremes of hot and cold, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects.
- Conscientious and with the sense of a pride of workmanship to meet our customer’s high expectations.
Obligations:
- May be required to carry and answer a company phone for shared distribution of any overtime amongst the team, or during scheduled call-in service.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle at all times.
- This position requires dependability and punctuality.
