Pinewood Escapes is a private vacation rental retreat property 10kms from St. Martins and the Bay of Fundy, offering thoughtfully designed accommodations on 23 acres of forest, trails, and a private lake. Accommodations include a 5-bedroom Lodge, 2-bedroom Cottage and 2 studio suites. We are seeking two reliable and detail-oriented individuals to live on the property and help maintain an excellent guest experience throughout our busy season.

This is a live-in seasonal caretaker position suited to a couple or pair of individuals who enjoy hands on work, can maintain high cleaning standards and are comfortable interacting professionally with guests when needed. Guest check in is at 4pm daily requiring fast paced unit turnover and operational efficiency on a tight schedule.

Accommodation

Caretakers will live in a private, fully furnished on-site apartment included as part of the compensation package. The unit features:

- 1 bedroom
- Full kitchen
- Full bathroom
- Wood stove
- Utilities and high-speed internet included

Key Responsibilities

Guest Unit Turnovers

- Thorough cleaning of rental units after every check out
- Preparing units to a high hospitality standard
- Laundry and linen management
- Deep cleaning when units are unoccupied

Guest Support

- Greeting or assisting guests when needed
- Responding to simple on-site requests or questions
- Ensuring outdoor amenities are clean, safe, and ready for use

Property & Grounds Care





- Lawn mowing and general grounds maintenance
- Weeding and basic landscaping upkeep
- Keeping fire pits stocked with firewood
- Maintaining outdoor seating areas, fire pits and common spaces
- Cleaning and organizing kayaks, SUPs and life jackets

Hot Tub Maintenance

- Daily checks and cleaning of hot tubs
- Monitoring water levels and chemical balance

Operations & Inventory

- Tracking supplies and notifying owners when items need restocking
- Organizing storage areas and housekeeping inventory
- Light maintenance and reporting issues promptly

Ideal Candidates

- Organized and proactive with property upkeep

Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, property maintenance, or landscaping is an asset.

Schedule

- Seasonal position: May 1 – October 1
- Hours will vary depending on bookings and property needs
- Weekend availability required

Compensation

- Fixed weekly payment of $1000
- On-site, fully furnished apartment included
- Utilities and high-speed internet included

Pay: $17.73-$28.05 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
