Join the #TEAMNORDEX and shape the future of energy with us.rn POSITION SUMMARYrnThe role of Assistant Site Manager directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As the Assistant Site Manager, you will provide onsite assistance to complete construction projects on time and within budget while monitoring the availability and costs of materials and equipment and relay instructions to construction laborers. rnWHAT YOU’LL DOrnrnAssists with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.rnProvides assistance to the Erection and Commissioning Manager coordinating all the activities during the erection and commissioning of the WTG from beginning to “Take Over Certification”.rnAssists with the coordination of the mobilization of all heavy equipment on-site, including Cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment, and transportation equipmentrnHelps organize and track all the quality control and transportation documents.rnInteracts with customers and contractors during wind farm construction.rnAssists with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.rnrn rnWHAT YOU HAVErnrnAssociate’s in mechanical engineering or related discipline,



or equivalent related work experience acceptedrnPreferred 3 years of mechanical/construction experience; Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferredrnExperience in quality management and quality control processes; Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferredrnKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite requiredrnMust have a valid driver’s license with no restrictionsrnAbility to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning processrnAbility to manage personnel and interface with the customers and contractorsrnAbility to manage contractors, sub-contractors, and the publicrnDemonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, including organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare reportsrnWTG on-site assembly experience preferredrnFluency in Spanish/German a plus; English and French proficiency is a requirement. rnAbility to travel domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required (80% - 90% travel) and ability to obtain a passport.rnAbility to work in Canada as a legal resident with no Company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport.rnAbility to move and manipulate up to 22.7 kilograms, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights above 91.4 meters.rnMeet the weight requirement of 120kg (265 lbs.) or less to safely utilize climbing equipment and climbing gear.rnDriving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.



This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.rnMust be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.rnrn rnNordex places the highest priority on the secure operations of its business. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.rnCommunicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a safe working environment.rnSpeak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.rnrnThe pay for this role is exempt at $110,000 - $115,000 CAD with up to a 10% bonus.
