Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong exposure to both local and United States payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and has hands-on experience with large-scale payroll systems. You will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll delivery, compliance with multi-jurisdictional regulations, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Process end-to-end Canadian and United States payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
Maintain payroll accuracy by reviewing employee changes, timesheets, earnings, deductions and remittances.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial and local requirements for both Canada and the United States.
Prepare payroll reports and support finance, HR and audit teams.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
Contribute to system upgrades, testing and workflow improvements.

Required Qualifications
PCP designation (required).
Minimum of three years of payroll experience with exposure to United States payroll processing (required).
Experience with large payroll software platforms such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, UKG or similar enterprise-level solutions.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, statutory reporting and year-end processes.
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with high-volume data.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience with multi-provincial payroll in Canada.
Knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll entries and reconciliations.




Exposure to HRIS or time and attendance systems.
