Job Profile

Under the general supervision of the Communications Equipment Coordinator, the Cellular Phone Clerk is responsible for coordinating the cellular needs for the Winnipeg Police Service.

The incumbent processes requests, audits phone usage, tracks costs, maintains all record keeping for all cellular telephones and related accessory orders and related services. Maintains accurate records on the online phone number directory.

As a Clerk B - Cellular Phone Clerk, you will:





- Process cellular phone requests
- Audit phone usage and assignments
- Sustain an inventory of accessories
- Maintan accurate records for the online phone director

Your Education And Qualifications Include

- High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
- 12 months of administrative experience.
- General knowledge of the functioning of cellular telephones.
- General knowledge of billing and financial processing.
- General knowledge of the organization and administrative structure of the organization, including roles and responsibilities of various departments.
- Demonstrated basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve customer enquiries.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the demonstrated ability to appropriately prioritize workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain accurate paper and electronic record / filing systems.
- The ability to establish and maintain a positive, respectful, secure and healthy work environment that supports the physical, psychological and social working relationships with members at all levels in a team environment.

If you are not submitting proof of Grade 12 completed within Canada, we require you to submit proof of a full-time, two year post-secondary program completed in Canada.

Minimum Requirements

- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Minimum 18 years of age
- No involvement in any criminal activity within the last two years (including illegal drugs)
- No criminal record for which a Pardon has not been granted

Conditions Of Employment

- Ability to pass a level 3 Winnipeg Police Service security check and maintain clearance
- Possess and maintain a valid Class 5.0 Driver's License
- Ability to successfully complete additional training as defined by the Service
