Oxford Learning Academy in Milton has an for a Junior/Intermediate School Teacher to teach a class of approximately 12 students for 2019-2020 school year. This qualified teacher needs to begin training as soon as possible in order to teach their class in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of creative, innovative and comprehensive classroom programming Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Two days per week, the teacher will be running afterschool clubs from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Reporting to the Principal of the Oxford Learning Academy private school, you will have an extensive knowledge of Ontario curriculum requirements.
You are an OCT certified teacher with Junior/Intermediate qualifications.
The successful candidate will be eligible for teacher benefits for themselves and their family members, including medical and dental coverage after the successful completion of the probationary period. Based on our school’s timetabled teaching week, a homeroom teacher that completes one school year successfully will receive an FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) of 1.00 unit reported to the board of education.

- Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Ontario Teacher Certification with Junior/Intermediate Qualifications is a must
- Teaching experience in the Junior or Intermediate division is a must
- Additional Qualifications – AQ courses (an asset)
- Work experience in the Independent School environment (an asset)
- Must be able to commit to training during July and August, and working from the end of August 2019 to June 2020 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Must have experience with Smartboard Technology is a must
- Must be punctual with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
