Introduction
IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. This large-scale change spans our business units and industries across the globe. Your Role and Responsibilities

Role Description:
As an Application Consultant, EAI you will advise clients on application development methodology and tools with focus on content management.





You will perform as an expert on application development for existing or new applications. You will address steps for developing a content strategy for an application with content assets that need to be managed and organized: identifying and promoting content and asset management to manage the infrastructure to store, access, and manage a full spectrum of digital information.

As an Application Consultant at IBM, you will team with some of the best minds in the industry to create innovative quality solutions focused on clients' business needs. You will do this using their systems knowledge and expertise to design and model applications, develop application solutions, and integrate them with packaged applications.

Additionally, you will help create and manage application solutions with a focus on building and managing a portfolio of business applications (and not technology infrastructure). You will engage in traditional full-scope outsourcing contracts that manage the creation and maintenance of a client's application portfolio - or in specific application development projects and stand-alone consulting engagements for application development of existing or new applications. IBM client teams will look to the candidate for guidance as an expert advisor.

Responsibilities include:
Providing expertise and knowledge to IBM clients and prospects by mapping their business requirements to the IBM EAI solution capabilities through a structured and disciplined design process that engages both the line of business and information technology professional.
Utilizing your technical and consulting skills, business knowledge, and expertise to effectively design, and communicate EAI content management and imaging solutions into the clients’ business environments to achieve client expected business results;
Establishing your credibility and build trust with client organizations.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Proficient in Development of message flows using open-source or proprietary ESB tools and technologies - IIB, Software AG, WebSphere DataPower, SI, Tibco, Mule, others;
Good experience on working with Web Services SOAP and HTTP, HTTPs with SSL, Encryption, decryption;
Good Knowledge or experience in Problem analysis, Requirement Analysis, High level Design, Low-level Design, Development, Deployment process, Testing, Documentation, production support, and Configuration of the Integration Environment;
Good knowledge on one or more relational database like IBM DB2, Oracle.
