Marketing Compliance Specialist
- Understand regulatory requirements to ensure that the organization’s public web pages are compliant with the laws and regulations that govern all web pages, e.g. accessibility and govern promotional material/activities to ensure they are truthful, transparent and not misleading.
- Conduct a quarterly audit to ensure compliance to each bill. Identify, log, communicate (with the stakeholders/page owners) and track instances of non-compliance.
- With a thorough understanding of the organization’s risk tolerance, governing policies and standards, serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on how to comply with the regulatory requirements including government (federal and provincial) bills,
accessibility testing and compliance, etc.
- Establish and maintain forums e.g. information sessions, Confluence page, JIRA Q&A; space, etc. to provide guidance to all stakeholders on how to comply with the regulations.
- Establish and maintain the documentation and escalation process so that audit results can be tracked consistently.
- Assess remediation plans to ensure they are designed to effectively reduce risk and verify that corrective actions are implemented according to plan.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Remain current on regulatory requirements and communicate requirement updates to all stakeholders, giving them both time to comply and an awareness of the consequences if compliance is not in place by the prescribed deadline.
- Laisse with the organization’s regulatory teams and digital accessibility team to assist stakeholders requesting additional information.
- Provide audit reports to stakeholders, management and the organization’s regulatory teams as required.
- Knowledge of HTML is required.
- Working knowledge of French is an asset. Fluency is not required.
