Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Securities Lending Operations team (approximately 90 members across middle and back office, collaborating with UK and Malaysia counterparts). This role supports the Securities Lending Program Upgrade by creating clear, comprehensive documentation and training materials for a new system and business processes.
Daily Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs, developers, and stakeholders to gather information on the new Securities Lending system and processes.
- Review existing training materials to develop step-by-step instructions, workflows, process maps, and troubleshooting guides.
- Create user manuals, quick reference guides, FAQs,
and training materials for diverse audiences.
- Standardize documentation for consistency in tone, format, and structure.
- Incorporate visuals (e.g., diagrams, charts, screenshots) to enhance clarity.
- Update documentation to reflect system changes or process improvements.
- Maintain a documentation repository for version control and accessibility.
- Support training delivery for Securities Lending teams.
- Provide regular updates on documentation progress.
Project
- Securities Lending Program Upgrade: Documenting and supporting the rollout of a new system and updated business processes.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, focusing on process and system documentation.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, or tools like Confluence, Jira, or Qtest.
- Familiarity with workflow/process mapping tools.
- Understanding of Securities Lending and/or the financial industry.
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to multitask with various team members.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in agile environments.
