The Position: General Labourer
Job Description:
The General Labourer at Brignall Equipment Solutions is responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness of the service department, storefront, and active zones.
This position requires the ability to use various tools, perform handyman tasks, operate equipment, and work unsupervised.
Wage: $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Complete BES daily checklist and ensure sign-off by supervision
- Ensure organization of BES and customer equipment, keeping BES active areas neat, tidy and straight
- Ensure storefront cleanliness by maintaining grass trimmings, snow and garbage removal, window cleaning, and excessive dirt from parking lot
- Maintain a tidy workspace for all areas of the Service Department by removing excess materials and garbage daily
- Load and unload customer equipment, following protocols as laid out by BES
- Assist with Parts Department pickups and deliveries
- Parts delivery to field technicians
- Ensure cleanliness of BES and customer vehicles and equipment
- Operate BES equipment as needed
- Assist with DPF cleaning and machine maintenance
- Provide assistance to parts and service departments as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a general labourer, maintenance worker, or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively
- Ability to complete tasks with a high attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with a high attention to detail
