As a 2D Location Designer at Bardel, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and finalizing location designs to support the art department.

What you’ll be doing:

- Conceptualize 2D location designs in black and white and colour.
- Conceptualize and create the overall look, attitude and style of the project.




- Exercise critical thinking.
- Support the Art Director and Senior Designer(s).
- Proactively communicate and collaborate across teams.
- Ensure alignment with project leads for technical and aesthetic goals.
- Meet and maintain project deadlines consistently.

What you’ll bring:

- 2+ years of graphic designing experience on animated production
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Art, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
- Strong drawing skills and colour fundamentals (illustration, painting, composition, color theory, perspective, 2D design)
- Able to paint render designs that represent 3D visual style
- A broad range of design abilities in a collaborative environment
- Photoshop experience required; Shotgrid familiarity a plus
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Excellent visual skills and attention to detail
- Ability to receive creative direction and feedback
- Be willing to share knowledge and experience with others

Salary Range CAD $1,100 - $1,600 / week.



The Salary Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
