Figurra Institute, located in Dieppe, NB, is looking to expand its medical team. Our Institute offers specialized medical aesthetic services and laser skin treatments supervised by a nationally recognized dermatologist and a team of professional skin care specialists.
We are presently looking for a permanent part-time Registered Nurse (RN, 25 - 30+ hrs/week approx.) to join our growing team. This position also has the opportunity to become full-time as additional doctors and new services & treatments are being introduced.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, energetic and eager to take on new challenges, learn about new products and is able to expand upon their responsibilities, and provide our patients with the best possible service.
Responsibilities: • Conduct patient evaluations and assessments; • Confirm Diagnostic and Treatment Plan with doctor; • Prepare Treatment Plans; • Prepare Treatment room, products, medications, medical materials and equipment according to treatment plan; • Prepare patient prior to treatment (anaesthesia, photos, etc.); • Provide pro-active medical assistance to doctors as needed; • Deliver various treatments in a safe and independent progression; • Administer injections / allergy tests, etc. to patients; • Explain Post-treatment care and ensure patient understands them; • Develop skin care plan for patients; • Write and maintain medical records on patient and treatment; • Complete and forward requests for references, prescriptions or other documents if appl.; • Remove stitches and make appropriate dressings when necessary; • Administer care of wounds and teach care instructions to patients; • Administer injections / perform allergy tests / blood work / , etc.; • Provide assistance to doctors during treatments; • Provide post-treatment care to patients; • Conduct patient follow-ups; • Sell various clinic products including skin care products; • Educate patient on the variety of treatments available at Figurra.
Qualifications: • Nursing degree; • Active member of nursing association of NB; • Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English; • Previous Medical Assistance Experience is an asset; • Previous Operating Assistance Experience is an asset; • Outgoing, self-motivated and positive personality; • Computer knowledge of MS Office and computerized medical software; • Fast learner; • Experience in Sale Techniques is an asset; • Team oriented individual; • Strong organizational skills; • Attention to detail; • Great sales and patient service abilities; • Enjoy working in a fast pace, multitasking environment.
