Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Senior Specialist, Operations Business Intelligence is integral to TPA success as a data-informed organization. The Senior Specialist will work closely with our field operations teams to create, implement and drive a business intelligence and revenue management culture within the organization. The key aim will be to drive revenue growth, internal efficiencies and ensure we deliver BI services as per expectation.



This person is also responsible for analyzing complex business problems using internal and external data and to also provide strategic business insight, as well as identifying and interpreting data trends and producing reports.

The Senior Specialist is a key leader who uses effective data analysis and people management skills to drive results and influence change across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES Data Analysis & Analytics Ensure data quality throughout all stages, including data collection, cleansing, normalization and transformation.



With business lead develop key performance indicators measuring performance of the business and relate the to individual positions on various organizational levels. Lead the identification of relevant metrics and data sources and enable regular data extracts to support the KPI reporting. Lead the analysis of the performance results, identifying options of action and establish corrective initiatives to achieve better results.



Responsible for the maintenance of master data, pricing tables, pricing structures and hierarchies. Increase revenue across the organization by analyzing and extracting insight from multiple sources of data. Reporting Create analytical reports and dashboards to monitor trends and detect outliers.



Responsible for the accuracy,

quality & timeliness of all fixed/ad hoc reporting and dashboards Monitor and analyze KPI results and help propose corrective actions for areas lagging behind targets. Explain insights, complex problems, solutions, or the essence of a quantitative model to non-technical people. Lead the team to develop reports that tell the performance management story.



Leverage strong business acumen, presentation and communication skills to create and present analysis in a relevant, consumable, meaningful and insightful ways. Perform ad-hoc analyses and participates in special projects as necessary. Manage and sign off the build of new reports and dashboards to a high standard for distribution to local and senior management as well as key clients.



Operational and Strategic Planning Collaborate with various stakeholders and technical experts to identify revenue enhancement opportunities and operations efficiencies.

Use systems thinking to develop a methodology and framework to critically think, analyse and solve problems. Analyze complex business problems and provide strategic and actionable recommendations through business insights.



Identify internal business challenges, technical restraints, and provide actionable recommendations. Define scope and requirements in user stories, prioritize stakeholder requirements and provide the traceability essential to a successful solution delivery. Identify the high-value/high-impact problems/insights to solve and validate that the team has created a meaningful solution.



Assist in developing a long-term business intelligence strategy for the organization to remain at the cutting-edge. Understand market dynamics, pricing trends and research and log all findings including competitor database and special events.

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or Economics 5 years + of experience in a business intelligence or revenue/yield management role, preferably in a leadership capacity Valid Ontario Class G drivers license in good standing Dynamic pricing experience and revenue management from Parking, Hotel, Airline or Retail industries Experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a data base, and programs to manage data analysis efforts Demonstrated knowledge of converting large amounts of multi-faceted data into meaningful reports Strong data visualization skills and experience using various visualization tools.

Experience with PowerBI/Tableau/Cognos Bi or similar required Track history of working with multiple clients and implementing business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions Advanced MS Office user, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel skills (look-up functions, VBA macros, complex logical statements, charts pivot tables, etc.) Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at one time Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to articulate analyses to wide range of stakeholders High level of curiosity and investigative mind-set with an attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization Strong consultative skills including client account management Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never
