The Project Engineer / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing electrical distribution design-build and / or streetlight design including coordination with all affected stakeholders. This position provides daily leadership and technical direction to a group of engineers, technologists, skilled tradespeople, inspectors, and drafters.



The Project Engineer / Project Manager ensures that their team is working effectively and efficiently to meet project requirements, using the proper tools, processes, while training and mentorship their staff. Be accountable to our customers and strive to be easy to work with.

Be the subject matter expert for BC Hydro Underground Residential Distribution (URD) Design-Build projects and associated Utility System Upgrades, and Street Lighting Design. Be responsible for client relationships and team success and participate in multi-year long term growth and sustainment goals. Major Responsibilities: To support your teams technical and customer service capabilities so that they are accountable and easy to work with.



Understand departmental financial goals and manage projects to accomplish those goals. Support growth within industry opportunities. Consult with clients to assess their project requirements, needs and expectations for electrical distribution serviceinstallations and alterations Manage all aspects of assigned projects to deliver the project within dened schedule and cost.



Prepare and review overhead and underground electrical distribution project designs,

estimates and proposals ensuringthat risks are mitigated and all technical and safety requirements are satisfied Review the work of other design team members and provide feedback. Review and authenticate the technical work of others as required. Technical Competencies: Ensure customer projects are managed to meet Site Power Project Life Cycle requirements.



Monitor, track and report individual project metrics and consolidated program reports. As a subject matter expert, contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices and processes that ensure projects are designed and estimated in a manner that mitigates construction risks, meets stakeholder requirements and business financial objectives. As a professional member of EGBC, this role is accountable to understand and follow company and industry best practices and standards to ensure projects are designed and planned in a manner that mitigates safety risks, construction risks,

meets stakeholder requirements and business financial objectives.



Education & Qualifications: P.Eng. or P.L.Eng. Designation with a B.Sc.



Degree in in Engineering; or Professional Licensee Technology Diploma. A Project Management Professional designation would be an asset. Four (4) years directly applicable experience in distribution design, streetlighting design, standards and/or projectmanagement, or we may use a progression arrangement that is not based on time but based on development andcompetencies
