Senior Manager, Clinical Operations Competition #22-025 About the Role CASA is a trusted non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap-around mental health services to children (3-18) and their families in Alberta. We do this through a team of specialized mental health professionals who are trauma experts committed to delivering outcomes-based programming in collaboration with community partners.
CASAs vision is a community where all children, youth and their families are provided timely mental health care and empowered to thrive. The senior manager, clinical operations will act as a mentor and coach to support clinical managers and program staff to foster a safe work environment that prioritizes respect and learning.
They will act as a change agent, resource, and role model for staff by leading and managing change effectively while inspiring innovation and creativity.
The senior manager, clinical operations will use their leadership ability to create and support the alignment of between CASAs strategic goals and program processes. Job Description Reporting to the clinical director, the senior manager, clinical operations provides leadership and oversight to assigned program areas to ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence informed care for children, adolescents and their families served by CASA.
Key responsibilities include translating organizational strategy into operational plans; developing and managing annual budgets; managing assigned facilities; developing and implementing evaluation/quality frameworks and metrics; developing and implementing clinical policy; and nurturing linkages with key stakeholders. The senior manager,
clinical operations provides direct supervision to assigned professional practice leads, managers and contracted staff. The senior manager, clinical operations also provides direct supervision to the assigned clinical managers in collaboration with the program medical lead.
Provides leadership through role modelling, inspiring the vision of CASA, addressing opportunities and challenges, supporting staff through accountability and ownership and encouraging innovation. Ensures the implementation of standards and guidelines through coaching and supervision of clinical managers, and professional practice leads. Leads recruitment, onboarding, performance management, supervision, off boarding and termination of assigned clinical managers, and professional practice leads.
Assists with student placements and coordination of student practicums within programs to support a positive learning and teaching environment. Collaborates with other senior managers to identify service delivery improvements and suggest enhancements with the lens of evidence informed practice and CASA strategic and operational plans. Per Shift: 7.75 Shifts Per Week: Five Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Qualifications Masters degree in a relevant clinical field (ex. psychology, social work, etc). Registration with their respective professional college and association is preferred.
Three years of a management experience in an addictions and/or mental health care setting working with multidisciplinary teams and community partnerships. Knowledge of childrens mental health service delivery as well as related services such as child intervention services, addictions, family therapy and group therapy would be an asset. Demonstrated change management skills, program development and evaluation experience.
Demonstrated ability to establish and manage interpersonal relationships. Demonstrated leadership ability, with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Enhanced skills in knowledge translation and education, program design and evaluation is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new or unexpected situations, flexibility in approach to interpersonal situations. Understanding of knowledge processes such as organizational learning and development. Appreciation of interdisciplinary approach to mental health and illness.
Commitment to quality improvement processes. Ability to monitor clinical practice standards and relevant acts and legislation. Please Note: All members of the CASA team are required to have a double vaccination status at this time.
