Background Dicklands Farms is a 400-milk cow dairy farm located at 42238 Sinclair Road, Chilliwack, British Columbia, 90 mins east of Vancouver. Dicklands Farms is building an on-farm biogas plant. This plant, due to be commissioned end of 2022, will co-digest dairy manure and food waste to make renewable natural gas. Responsibilities As Plant Manager youll be responsible for overall operation of the plant. This will include overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure maximum performance, being responsible for data collection, management and utilization, overseeing long-term planning and plant improvement activities. Duties and responsibilities will include:

Operate plant as defined by regulatory obligations and detailed in the plant's Operating Manual. Coordinate and supervise feedstock deliveries. Collect and maintain plant operating data and records. Track operational performance, diagnose adverse plant conditions and malfunctions, identify trends, compare performance against benchmark data, and provide technical and operational solutions to correct deficiencies and optimize performance. Investigate mechanical problems, recommend appropriate repair and replacement. Maintain spare parts inventory. Manage/organize outputs from digestate management equipment. Complete all reporting requirements. Requirements Fluent in written and spoken English. Highly organized and self-motivated, with ability to take initiative, set priorities, perform tasks and manage multiple activities with minimal guidance. High level of energy and motivation, detailed-oriented, able to plan, coordinate and execute tasks. Ability to analyze data for key performance metrics and trends. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to operations and logistics problems to provide timely solutions. Excellent communication (verbal and written)

and organizational skills. Proven analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work. Relevant management, mechanical and/or electrical experience will be considered in place of biogas knowledge and experience. Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Valid drivers license. Salary Salary range is CD$110,000 - CD$130,000/year, depending upon experience. Rent-free accommodation also available onsite in one of two available houses (a two or five bedroom house, depending upon need). Schedule This is a full-time position. While this position will average 45 hours a week, this is not a Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm job.

There will be weeks when more hours are required, or when work is needed outside of typical working hours (i.e., weekends). Start Date Chosen candidate should be able to start no later than October 3rd 2022.
