Who we need

Reporting to the Head of Operations, we are adding a Business Analyst to our team. You will bridge the gap between IT and business, performing requirements gathering and using data analytics to assess and improve business processes and services. Based on this comprehensive analysis, you will develop specifications that will be applied to deliver solutions that increase both company and customer success. You will formulate the scopes and objectives of new or existing processes based on detailed research, an understanding of both business and customer needs, and knowledge of industry standards.

What you will do

Develop requirements and gain stakeholder sign off. You will be central to the achievement of overall project/initiative success through defining the scope and requirements of initiatives and bringing the right stakeholder group together for execution. An understanding of applicable business structures and existing requirements.

Analyze system, business and user needs. You will regularly assess the processes and needs of the user and the business, translating them into specifications that can be applied to improve company products or services. You will carry out research to support your work, perform extensive requirements gathering and provide reports detailing your analyses, results and recommendations.

Stay updated on industry practices and company policies. You will maintain a working knowledge of the industry standards relating to software and hardware systems in the workplace, and business processes and ethics in practice. You will also stay informed on company policies and procedures related to safety and security.

Support the team. You will assist team members in various departments with inquiries related to their tasks. You will contribute ideas and provide feedback to enhance both operations and customer service.

What you bring:

The education and experience. You have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in financial services, insurance or a related field.

The technical skills. You have a working knowledge of web-based systems, SQL and related database systems. You are also proficient in using tools that can convey business information to teams or business partners such as the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

The interpersonal skills. You have exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You can build working relationships with your team and offer support. You thrive in an environment where teamwork is essential for success.

The flexibility. You are adaptable to different work requirements and can operate remotely or at the office. You are a keen multitasker, able to handle simultaneous requests and pivot when needed.

The personality. You are a self-starter who likes to take initiative in projects. You are confident and able to work under pressure, embracing a high-performance work culture.

The focus on details. Your business requirements documents will be the key to executing projects and bringing stakeholders together around a common, time bound goal.
