A Day in the Life:

At Apollo, our people are our heart and soul. We are nothing without their innovation, community building and motivation to show up as the best version of ourselves every day. Until now, our Founding Team managed employee files and set-up key frameworks but,

we know that in order to keep empowering our team and caring for them, we need a strong, agile People Ops strategy . This is where you come in; as the Head of People Operations, you'd be at the strategic table and building high-level goals, while also building on the foundation we already have to create a workplace, and foster a culture, that reflects the diverse, creative team members we have on-board.

As our first full-time People Operations team member, you'll be managing a lot of moving parts: hiring lifecycle, performance and engagement, building inclusivity in all aspects of the business and acting as a touchpoint for all our employees and managers. Curious to know more, here are some of the needs we have:

Assisting founders in finalizing and propagating Apollo's Core Values

Build scalable People Operations strategies

Regularly updating salary schedules across the organization

Creating and managing an on-boarding and off-boarding plan

Conducting the entire hiring lifecycle for all departments

Performing periodic compensation reviews and career growth paths

Liaising with managers regarding employee improvements and empowerment

Supporting managers with performance reviews and goal management

Supporting with documents such as proof of employment, contracts and salary or title change confirmations

Performing other HR specific admin tasks

What Makes you a good fit:

Experience building HR frameworks and structures

Comfortable leading diversity and inclusion initiatives

Strong challenger and able to speak up when you disagree or see another way

Comfortable providing HR-related recommendations to managers as required

Clear understanding of labor law fundamentals, payroll processes and group insurance enrollment

High level of integrity as you’ll be exposed to a large amount of confidential information

Familiar with payroll and HRIS platforms (we use BambooHR)

Strong and empathetic communicator

Effective in building professional, trusting relationships

Extremely organized and very high attention to detail

Experience with recruitment and candidate sourcing
