We are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team as we support a fast-growing and ever-changing business. The growth and retention of great Beanworks people is supported by this integral position,

which will provide key administrative and operational support in our HRIS system (WorkDay), Recruitment activities, Payroll, Benefits, Performance Reviews, and other P&C; functions. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a junior HR/People & Culture professional, or a recent graduate looking to begin their career. The right candidate will be a fast learner, show initiative, be resourceful, communicate strongly within a team, and have great attention to detail.

This position can be based remotely, anywhere in Canada. Our head office is in Vancouver, so you must be willing to travel to the office semi-regularly, and to work close to Pacific Timezone.

What You'll Do

Schedule interviews for candidates, prepare candidate documentation for interview panels, and other recruiting administrative tasks.

Manage and maintain our new HRIS system (WorkDay), and assist with the sun-setting of our old system, BambooHR.

Produce People reports from our systems, and maintain employee data in spreadsheets (employee turnover, company diversity, and more).

Coordinate our benefits programs: Extended Health & Dental, Retirement Savings Plan, ClassPass.

Prepare People documentation for distribution, such as offer letters, employment agreements, employment records, and change letters.

Manage our personnel records, to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.

Be the key coordinator for employees' Time Off - review time off requests, assist managers with reports, and answer employee queries.

Ensure that the bimonthly payroll is processed without error, by submitting all documentation and information for additions, changes, and terminations.

Manage the tracking and communication with our people managers for biannual Performance Reviews, to ensure they are conducted and documented.

Frequently update the content on our People & Culture Beantranet, to ensure employees have access to resources and are informed on weekly news and requests.

Acts as a point of contact for any employee inquiries and escalate as necessary.

Assist with ad-hoc People & Culture projects or administrative support, as requested by the People & Culture Manager.

Who You Are

Education (of any kind) in Business, Human Resources, or a related field

At least 1 year of progressive and well-rounded administrative experience

Experience in human resources or People & Culture will be considered an asset

An understanding of or interest in the technology field, in particular SaaS / FinTech

Some understanding of Canada employment legislation and requirements

Great interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in HR matters is very important

You love to collaborate and work as part of a team. You can work effectively with all levels and roles of an organization.

You are adaptable and can manage changing requests and a fast-paced environment

You are resourceful and take initiative; you'll find creative solutions to problems with minimal guidance

Previous experience using an HRIS and/or ATS. If you have WorkDay experience, that's even better!

Knowledge and experience using Google Suite and Office 365
