Position Title: Terminal Operator



Team and Location: Hatch Point, BC



Position Summary:

Working at Parkland’s Burnaby Terminal. The Operator 2 position has a trades qualification (Single Ticket, Red Seal Pressure Welder) This position is responsible for welding repair and maintenance, troubleshooting, machinery repair, overhaul, assembly, and installation of machinery at Terminal facilities and Terminal loading racks. This position will also provide support for the Terminal Operations Foreman.



Key Responsibilities:

Day to day loading rack maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair

Assisting in project work, routine loading rack maintenance, and tank work at Burnaby, Hatch Point and Port Hardy Terminals

Occasional Tasks: Daily Volume Reconciliation Reporting; Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reporting on additive and other products; Updating the PM requirements; working knowledge of Fuelfacs, and coordinating on-site contractors



Qualifications and Skills:

A strong commitment towards Safety and Safe Work Practice

An ability to work as part of a team and support a positive work culture.

Trades qualification: Red Seal Pressure Welder

Ability to positively interact with personnel from other departments including contractor personnel.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience working in the Petrochemical Industry.

Mechanical and technical aptitude and abilities

A commitment to high performance and a drive to continuously improve.

Personal accountability and flexibility

Ability to prioritize workload, with self-starter initiative

Ability to travel and work out of town (Burnaby or Port Hardy) for short periods

Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence with a clean abstract

Possesses a curiosity and a desire to learn and grow by doing other job tasks

A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
