A Description of You.

You are:

A Leader who can think and operate at altitude and in the details

The voice of reason – you're able to filter the Visionary's ideas and remove the obstacles for the rest of the leadership team. You're the yang to the President's yin;

Pragmatic, but positive – in a respectful and positive way, you're able to poke holes in the ideas, opportunities and potential solutions of the Visionary, and then work towards “getting there”. You know what is possible and you know who is around to help you make it possible;

Courageous – you're not afraid to make tough decisions, deliver bad news, or work hard to build understanding or agreement even when it seems like it may be very challenging to do so;

Steady – you manage and execute projects well, with a steady force, cadence, and consistency and with a calm demeanour;

Energized by people and working with them – you're involved in the business and you understand that in a business like ours, personality is paramount. You're just as comfortable with a whiteboard as you are with a spreadsheet. And, you're able to communicate effectively with all groups, from your peers, to staff, to customers, to Claudia, to suppliers and contractors;

Willing to step in – while you need to be operating at an altitude, nothing is beneath you. You are equally okay with putting stuff in the back of your car and driving it somewhere when it's necessary as you are with “minding the store” when the President is absent;

A person of all trades – you've got many experiences and many perspectives. You know enough about all aspects of business, even those that aren't your wheelhouse, to understand, make decisions, and get support when necessary;

Respectful and engaged – you're able to embrace Pedalheads programs and culture and you appreciate the value of conversation/discussion, even when you can't contribute. Even though you know a lot, you're respectful and appreciative of subject matter experts and those who were here before you. You understand that respect is two-way and you work hard to build respect and you give respect every day.

A great fit for our culture.

Our Culture

At Pedalheads, we are a collaborative team and we seek feedback and buy-in whenever it is possible. We're a spirited, fun and playful group who are always looking for new or innovative ideas to grow, learn and build. We're dedicated to continuous improvement and focused on excellence and achievement. We are trail-blazing and this is illustrated by us forging ahead even though many of those who we spoke to when we started the company said it would never work. We've blazed this trail and made it work!

We're empathetic, highly rational and caring. This is demonstrated through the building of our team from within and our belief in giving back. Internally, we identify stars and give them opportunities to lead and manage. We have a path that starts with junior instructors (volunteers) and advances to site leadership to trainers to full-time, year-round positions, to management. Externally, we lead by example in giving back to our communities. This is done through financial donations, bursary/scholarships, and participating in community volunteerism.

Finally, we're very conscious of, and take an active approach to initiatives that support diversity, equity and inclusion.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER

Our Total Compensation Package:

Salary and bonus package commensurate with your attributes. Finding the perfect person for this job is very important to us and we recognize the value in that;

Personalized benefits through our health and wellness subsidy program;

Annual Professional Development allowance;

Support, including some paid time, for community responsibility/volunteering;

Annual staff trip/retreat for planning and year end celebrations. Previous trips include Mexico, Tucson and Las Vegas;

Growth and advancement: This is an opportunity for the right person to take the company to new levels of growth.

Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Pedalheads is committed to creating and upholding a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment that is respectful and welcoming to everyone. We believe that the presence of many voices from a variety of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds, political beliefs, ages, sexual identities and orientation, socio-economic backgrounds and physical and cognitive abilities will make our programs and workplaces richer for all.
