Our well established oil & gas client is seeking a Health Information Advisor in Calgary, AB.

Job Overview:

Your role is in the H&W; Integration area reporting to the Manager, Health and Wellness (H&W;) Integration. Your role has primary responsibility for providing oversight and guidance of health information and adherence to legislative requirements and support the day-to-day compliance to health information legislation (Federal and the numerous Provincial jurisdictions).

You will provide oversight to Health Information Management standard within H&W; and work extensively with key stakeholders outside of Health & Wellness for the purpose of advancing privacy and dealing with day to day matters.

Key Accountabilities:

- This role will manage H&W; information with respect to Element 11 (Information Management)

- Be responsible to maintain the overall H&W; Health Information Management framework

- Extensive H&W; programs documentation.

- Day to day activities include representing H&W; at the Enterprise Privacy Working Committee

- Facilitating with conducting privacy breach investigation

- Privacy Impact Assessments

- Managing requests for personal information (Compiling records, conducting thorough record(s) review and redactions, where appropriate).

Required Qualifications:

- Strong in MS Applications

- Formal training in Health information

- Records management Demonstrated

- Ability to work on multiple priorities and meet key deadlines.

- Experience working in health records application (ideally Cority) and other applications

- Excellent communication skills and strong team player.

Experience and Education:

- Knowledge of Health Information and Personal information Legislation across Canadian jurisdictions is critical.

- Experience conducting Privacy Impact assessments,

- Privacy breach investigations

- Managing personal information requests

- Dealing with leaders at various levels of the organization,

- Presenting recommendations for driving best practice and education on privacy,

- Conducting privacy audits.

- Reporting on outcomes and risks and risk mitigation recommendation.
