We are hiring a team of Associate level (2-4 years of professional work experience) Technical Consultants in Ontario, Canada who will be trained to configure and implement our Utilities suite of products. This is a client facing role that requires travel in the future (must be able to travel 50 - 70%) and can be home based when not on the road.

- This is an intermediate consulting position requiring (2-4 years of Professional Experience) operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices.

- You will perform standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement and configure Oracle Utilities Software products and technology to meet customer specifications.

- You will be trained in an intensive bootcamp with peers to become competent in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Service (CCS) and Customer to Meter (C2M) product offerings.

- Support the development and documentation of requirements definition and/or business process definition

- Assist in documentation preparation which can include presentation preparation, requirements specifications

- Apply core Utilities business process knowledge to key project tasks

- Participate in the development, documentation and execution of test plans, test scripts and supporting users in pilot and UAT phases of the implementation including basic remediation testing

- Support defect and issue resolution


As a member of the Utilities Consulting Services organization, you will:

• Receive formal and on-the-job training for CCS (Customer Cloud Service) and C2M (Customer to Meter) implementations in SaaS, PaaS, or on-premise environment models

• Provide engagement delivery services both as an individual and as a team member.

• Be responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and to our client's satisfaction.

• Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure quality delivery.

• Technical capability in the areas of SDLC, SQL, Java and experience with Building Custom Solutions using the tool stack is a strong plus.


• Possess a minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree in Management Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other Science related degree that required technical acumen.

• Minimum of 2-3 years overall experience in a functional or technical analyst role working with internal or external clients.

• Some SQL, Java or other OO programming languages

• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients

• Ability to travel as needed in the future (50 - 70%)

• Should know basic application architecture for business applications

• Good understanding of the Design, Development, Testing and Release phases of the SDLC.

• Good understanding of business processes with Business Process Modeling experience being a big plus.

• Documentation skills for requirements and designs documentation is a plus

• Knowledge in Customer Management and Billing Systems is a plus

• Energy industry knowledge, Smart Grid, Smart Meter, Energy Deregulations etc., is a plus

• Consulting experience, is a plus

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required – heavy client facing role

Candidates hired for this opportunity will need to be able to participate in a 6 week boot camp on-line, remote where they will be trained to implement and customize the Oracle Utilities Application Suite of Products.
