municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Associate Project Manager/Site Acquisition and Municipal Affairs Specialist focusses on siting and acquiring appropriate telecommunications infrastructure sites, consulting with local land-use authorities, and supporting permitting and public consultation initiatives.

In addition, your role will be to:



- Conduct computer and on-site analysis of multiple proposed site candidates to identify, profile, and rank appropriate site candidates for tower, rooftop, easement, and in-building antenna sites.

- Conduct pre-consultation correspondence/meetings with municipal or land-use authority staff regarding project objectives, constraints, requirements, outline applicable permitting and public consultation protocols and requirements.

- Assess and apply government permitting and consultation protocol requirements/constraints to determine specific project parameters.

- Identify and select appropriate and justifiable site candidate locations in accordance with protocol and reasonable and relevant host community considerations.

- Coordinate site candidate selection with internal Project Manager, teams and client management by summarizing and selecting appropriate site candidates for development.

- Assemble and generate report materials and exhibits for use in Project Description Reports, alternate site assessments and detailed rationale for selected site candidates to internal project manager and client.

- Assemble and present site candidate summary reports for presentation to project team, municipal staff and elected officials, and clientele.

- Devise and execute site specific acquisition strategy in collaboration with internal and client project teams.

- Select final site candidate(s), profile landowner entity, and commence landowner outreach remotely and in the field.

- Conduct and drive negotiations with private, public, commercial, and institutional landowner entities.

- Identify site layout options and constraints, and complete preliminary design of site components/footprint for presentation to landowner entity and project team.

- Generate sketch/exhibits for applicable land-use agreements and subsequent permitting and public consultation requirements.

- Assemble, present and successfully negotiate lease, license, easement, purchase, access, and other required agreements with project landowners.

- Assist and lead planning team in acquiring all necessary permitting authorizations and approvals.

- Develop and deliver written site analysis and Project Description Reports and presentations for municipal, landowner entities, and the public at large.

- Develop and present project related deputations/delegations and requests for resolutions to applicable land-use authority and municipal councils and committees.

- Organize and hold Project Public Information Sessions and Open Houses with project planning team.

- Assist in the creation of public consultation notification documents, open house support materials, and conducting of public consultation activities.

- Correspond with project stakeholders, supporters, and opponents to proposed developments.

- Assemble materials and final report and project close-out deliverables for project team.

- Communicate and deliver project information to Project Manager, landowners, special interest groups and the public.

- Review, understand, and appropriately communicate legal agreements, site plans and typical telecom project layouts.

- Provide Project Manager and client acquisition and permitting progress updates and problem mitigation.

- Provide site acquisition, municipal affairs, and other land expertise to clients, engineering/construction personnel or external consultants.

- Represent clients and Canacre in community/stakeholder meetings.

- Identify and help achieve business opportunities.

- Support corporate initiatives, trade shows, conferences and exhibits to effectively market Canacre’s services and products and attend as required.



Qualifications:



- Post secondary education; ideally specializing in planning, business, real estate, project management or related field or equivalent experience

- Minimum 2 years of professional experience acquiring and/or permitting telecom and/or, linear ROW energy infrastructure projects

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Highly organized and systematic project tracking skills and experience

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong online research skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Power Point)

- Ability to professionally deliver presentations to members of the public, municipal staff, and elected officials

- Municipal/governmental experience working for or liaising with municipal governments, MTO, MNR, Conservation associations is considered an asset

- Commercial and industrial leasing experience is considered an asset.

- Tower and rooftop antenna acquisition, design, and planning/permitting experience is considered an asset

- Proficiency with Google Earth Pro, experience with GIS applications, and/or generation of kmzs is considered an asset

- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills is considered an asset

- IRWA, OEA, similar real estate accreditations and certifications is considered an asset

- PMP or RPP designation is considered an asset
