THE ROLE:

The Commercial Business Manager (CBM) is the primary interface between Ford Commercial Vehicle Centre (CVC) dealerships and Ford of Canada Headquarters, supporting CVC Program Goals and Business Objectives (Vehicle Sales and Parts & Service).



YOUR IMPACT:

Fulfill all CVC program responsibilities and required communication with assigned dealers.



Work with CVC dealers to achieve vehicle sales & share objectives by vehicle line.



Work with CVC dealers and facing Ford personnel to implement “systems selling” with commercial customers to grow CV vehicle related products and services – Ford Telematics & Data Solutions, Ford Credit Products, Ford Accessories, Ford Parts & Maintenance Programs, etc.



Provide dealer regular updates on key information and breaking news.



Utilize key market share and competitive data to inform dealers and develop robust sales plans



Work with CVC dealers to efficiently utilize CVC benefits



Identify market opportunities to add new/additional dealers to the CVC network.



Provide consultation on Medium Truck products and assist in allocation and wholesale process to encourage dealer emphasis in that segment.



Monitor and reinforce performance and execution of CVC uptime initiatives for commercial customers with Service Managers and Parts Managers including the following:



Mobile Service & Extended Service Hours



Medium Duty Service Capability, National Fleet Parts & Pricing Program



Support local pool companies (Mobility, Parcel Delivery, Personal Use, etc) to promote Ford products.



Develop, maintain, and foster relationships between pool companies and CVC dealers.



Monitor dealer inventory and aging to prevent excessive days in stock.



Conduct Advance Product Meetings, Dealer Training Sessions, and Grass Roots events to train/inform dealer personnel and effectively launch new CV products & services.



Partner with facing Ford Credit BDM for joint contacts and dealer/account support.



Communicate with Regional Sales Office personnel on a regular basis and attend Regional Staff Meetings to keep Regional personnel informed on CV sales/share and relevant CVC dealer related items.



WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

University Degree Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.

Driver’s License

Must be able to travel within the assigned territory



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Automotive Commercial Experience 5+ years of experience



Heavy/Medium Truck Experience



Field sales/service/marketing experience strongly desired



Strong Sales & Fixed Operations Experience, Knowledge and understanding of dealership operations



Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results



Demonstrated knowledge of commercial-based product an asset



Ability to build relationships



Strong business acumen



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written



Bilingualism (French/English) an asset



Must be able to travel within assigned territory



Strong organization and attention to detail are critical elements of the role



Ability to build strong relationships, influence others to embrace initiatives and inspire action
