Would you like to shape the technical direction of Thomson Reuters Onvio, our next-generation cloud-based Accounting, Tax,

and Practice enterprise platform? The Onvio Team is looking to expand our team of talented technologists. 

About the Role 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will: 

- Perform product design, system analysis, and implement necessary software changes and enhancements. 

- Contribute to the security, scalability, and performance of our systems. 

- Collaborate with the team’s Software Engineers and Analysts, as well as across teams, to establish requirements and develop solutions. 

- Assist Analysts in researching reported issues, verifying bugs, and testing changes for the release. 

- Document bugs, fixes, and enhancements in the applicable tracking systems. 

- Work both independently, and as part of a development team, on various projects of varying size and scope concurrently.

- Java, Hibernate, REST, SQL, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AngularJS 

- PostgreSQL

- RabbitMQ, Kafka, ElasticSearch

About You 

You are a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if you have: 

- 4+ years of experience in delivering high-quality, working software using Java as your primary programming language

- Strong communication skills, including collaborating effectively and articulating complex technical concepts to stakeholders across the organization  

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline 

Preferred qualifications 

- Any experience/knowledge on AngularJS will be considered as an asset

- Ability to efficiently scope new feature development and troubleshoot complex issues.  

- Ability to assess and communicate benefits and risks to stakeholders. 

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
