Your responsibilities

Thyssenkrupp Materials Trading North America is one of the leading steel trading organizations in North America, supported by a global network of thyssenkrupp companies worldwide. Our experienced trading team established a strong global supplier base, allowing us to offer an extensive range of steel products for a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, energy, container, second tier automotive and many more. We are committed to meeting the challenges and ever-changing demands of today's worldwide steel marketplace by continuously diversifying our product and services portfolio. We take pride in our long-standing relationships with our customers, based on continuous supply, competitive pricing, excellent service and reliability. To that end, we are seeking a highly-motivated, energetic individual to join the team in our Concord, Ontario location. Summary of Position: Responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with orders once received from sales. This includes, but is not limited to, order input into our operating system, verification of customer requirements, forwarding of information to the supplier, sales order creation and maintenance, order management and tracking, and order expediting. Key Accountabilities: Support sales staff with in the areas of customer service, order entry, purchase order preparation and validation, customer and supplier correspondence, Coordination of logistics needs, if needed Invoicing customers and coding supplier/vendor invoices Enter return orders, credits, and debits when require Monthly reconciliation of inventories Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures Work in a team environment, communicating as required with all personnel. Attend meetings with team members, as needed. Take on additional duties and responsibilities, as needed.

Your profile


Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable experience

Excellent Excel Skills

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Basic computer skills in order to assemble and process orders and information in a timely and efficient manner. SAP knowledge is a plus but not required.

Effective communication and listening skills necessary when answering phone calls from customers and associating with peers.


1 to 2 years experience in sales or office support

Exposure to the concept of movement of goods or logistics is a plus
