Position Overview



The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the full hardware life cycle of servers, workstations, and data storage for all CMH locations. This role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, as well as having the patience to communicate with a variety of vendors, departments, and users.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary focus on three technology domains. Includes all related operational support activities including maintenance and upgrades/updates of the following:



Storage:

Dell EqualLogic storage arrays.

Cloud-based backups.



Virtualization:

VMware ESXi & VCenter Server.

Hyper-V.

Knowledgeable in various hardware and software technologies including (but not limited to):

Windows/Linux Operating Systems.

OS Security patching, anti-virus, and anti-malware administration.

Microsoft technologies including Exchange, Office 365, Terminal Services.

Application delivery and workstation deployment (KACE, SCCM).

Active Directory and Domain Controller management.

Network device monitoring (PRTG).

Diagnose server level hardware and software problems and replace defective components.

Administer data backups and disaster recovery operations.

Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all applicable configurations.

Design, configure, and test computer hardware and operating system software.

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.

Monitor system performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement.

Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.

Research new technology and implement it or recommend its implementation.



Minimum Qualifications



Computer or Information Services related University Degree or College

Minimum 5 years providing server support in an enterprise environment, particularly with: Exchange, Office 365, virtualization, and backup technologies.

Able to identify potential issues and quickly work with the team to manage and respond to such situations in a timely and professional manner.

Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues.

Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote.

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships with peers.

Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities.

Able to build productive working relationships with co-workers, guests, and vendors.



Working Conditions



Due to the seasonal nature of our business, this position may be required to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in a seasonal, on-call rotation.

This position will require travel to CMH lodges at various times throughout the year (est. 10% travel).

Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on a regular basis.

Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout the term of employment.

Compensation



A competitive compensation package will be provided including an annual salary based upon qualifications, experience, and skill set. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
