What You’ll Be Doing



As a Remote Bilingual Telephone Banking Call Center Agent , you’ll be the first point of contact for clients calling in with questions or requests related to their banking needs. You’ll work in fast-paced environment and deepen relationships, quickly resolve issues and identify opportunities to match clients with the right products and solutions that will enable their financial success.





The start date for this role is September 27th, 2021. Our Contact Centre is open Monday to Sunday 7:00am to Midnight. This is a full-time and shift oriented role with an opportunity to potentially work from home.





We have embarked on an [email protected] remote work program. All employees may be given the opportunity to work from home, if you can meet the [email protected] program requirements and are able to attend your primary work location within two hours’ notice.



Agent @ Home Program Requirements



- Ability to work independently in a private and quiet workspace (ie. in a room or office with a door that closes)



- Wired Internet connection capable of continuously supporting excellent call quality and high-speed response rate (internet connection can be connected to modem through hard cable (not wireless) with a minimum download speed of 15 mbps and upload speed of 10 mbps)



How You'll Succeed  



- Get comfortable connecting on a personal level. Don’t be afraid to draw from your own experiences to help our clients.  



- Be the best listener. Make sure our clients’ feel heard, no matter what the issue.  



- Use sound investigative skills by using your extensive analytical ability. 



- Resolve complex or difficult problems relating to Fraud Applications, Account Takeovers, Convenience Cheques, and Payments referred by other areas of CIBC or other external sources (law enforcement, other financial institutions, etc.), as well as from our monitoring systems.  



- Study up! Invest some real time in getting to know our everyday banking products and services, such as Personal Deposit Account Open, ​Credit Card Applications, TFSA Requests, Investment Products, ​Digital Services, and more. You’ll use your knowledge to connect clients with the right product opportunities. It will also help you proactively suggest everyday banking solutions that will help clients achieve their financial goals.
