This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. This position will consist of non-standard hours. Customer service scenario-based testing will be conducted.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing front line administrative and clerical duties in support of operations of the Healthy Living Centre, including initial contact with potential and regular clients, and maintaining knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, programs and services. The successful candidate will promote, collect, and process sales of memberships, payments, registrations and merchandise; provide customer orientations, monitor client facility use and client access; will be responsible for consolidating and reporting daily financial transactions, inputting data, maintaining files and records and reporting any incidents and maintenance repairs; demonstrate and instruct clients and co-workers on equipment and facility use as well as implement, update and communicate procedures, processes and facility rules; dispense, inspect, repair and store equipment, wash/dry laundry, set up equipment for client events; maintain a clean, professional and safe working environment; as well as other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Must have successful completion of Grade 12 plus additional courses and/or training and 3 years related experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience is required. The successful candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, be familiar with cash management processes and be able to follow and initiate workflows. Basic reception, keyboarding, presentation and data evaluation skills are required. Software experience in Word, Excel and other software programs, accounting experience, and small equipment repair is an asset. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated individual with strong prioritization skills, a proven team player, and can work well with minimal supervision.
