The opportunity: KPMG’s Immigration Law practice is looking for an Immigration Coordinator (PERM/IV), to join our US Immigration Law group. You will be part of a busy, fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys a team work environment with client contact. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong attention to detail, and organizational skills, with a desire to work in and promote a client first focused culture. Please note that this is a virtual opportunity and the successful candidate can work remotely anywhere In Canada. What you will do Immigration: Apply comprehensive and in-depth understanding of all aspects of the PERM labor certification process Collect, compile, and review all documentation and information required for the PERM/IV process to help assess eligibility Confirm the sufficiency of experience verification required for the PERM/IV process Draft all documentation related to the PERM process, including prevailing wage determination requests, recruitment postings, and ETA9089 Prepare I-140 petitions in the EB-1C, EB-2, and EB-3 categories Prepare I-485, I-765, and I-131 applications Prepare supporting documents for application packages (letters, forms, etc.) Conduct all work within established time standards Develop and maintain an effective communication stream with other Coordinators, lawyers, and client stakeholders Administration: Ensure that all client correspondence, documents and relevant data fields are recorded in the internal database(s) Assist with preparing reports Respond to clients and/or vendors regarding invoice related matters. Collect invoices, annotate billing codes, and submit to Accounts Payable upon receipt Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices Ensure timely billing of all work completed Filing, photocopying, and mailing/courier Any other administrative responsibilities as required What you bring to the role 2-3 years of experience in US business immigration, including at least 1 year supporting PERM labor certification matters College diploma or University degree Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Knowledge of billing practices and procedures an asset Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy Ability to locate and research information efficiently, to use it effectively, and to evaluate the quality of the information Strong time management skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a willingness to go the extra mile to help your colleagues Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills within a fast-paced environment Keys to your success: Time management skills are critical. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines. Strong organizational and computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Highly motivated. Ability to communicate responsibly and promote effective working relationships. Knowledge of immigration practices and procedures an asset.
