What will your typical day look like?





As an AWS Cloud Security Operations L1/L2, you will be helping our clients to secure their AWS Cloud environment by implementing new concepts, techniques, and best practices to maintain a secure and compliant end-to-end cloud ecosystem. While managing and monitoring AWS cloud native security services of our clients on a daily basis, you will also be responsible to triage and take actions on client service requests for resolution with our Service Level Agreements. 

As an AWS Cloud Security Operations Analyst/Consultant, you will

•    Effectively demonstrate knowledge in monitoring and securing AWS Cloud infrastructure using cloud native security services.

•    Manage and remediate security incidents using Cloud Native Security Platforms.

•    Select appropriate AWS services to deploy and monitor based on client requirements.

•    Work with cross-functional and cross-vendor teams to address technical issues.

•    Stay apprised of new developments in cloud native development, adopt new technologies and be open to new ideas.

•    Be available for rotational and on-call shifts.



As part of your AWS Cloud Security Operations L1/L2 role, you will:

•    Monitor and manage AWS infrastructure using Cloud Native Security Platforms (CNSP) such as Prisma Cloud, Chronicle security.

•    Ensure compliance of AWS resources using tools and practices such as AWS Systems Manager, Config, CloudTrail.

•    Ensure secure access to resources with AWS identity and access management solutions - AWS IAM, Directory Service, SSO, IAM MFA, Access Analyzer.

•    Assess vulnerabilities, monitor threats, and provide remediations (manual/automatic) using services such as AWS Systems Manager, Inspector, Config, ECR, GuardDuty, Macie, Detective, Security Hub, CloudTrail, CloudWatch

•    Enforce network security using AWS Shield, Shield Advanced, Network Firewall.

•    Ensure security of applications hosted on AWS using tools and services such as AWS WAF.

•    Identify, define and update remediation procedures for security incidents.

•    Resolve security incidents/threats within the given time frame according to their severity levels.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess deep AWS security technical expertise to monitor and secure client’s cloud infrastructure. Your previous experience at a service provider or large enterprise will enable us to implement industry best practices to meet our client requirements. Your appetite to learn will ensure we keep up with the latest practices, ideas, and trends in the public cloud space.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise

•    Technical degree: Computer Science or related.

•    Two or more years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment.

•    One or more years of experience using AWS security products.

•    One or more years of experience using any CSPM solution.



Familiarity with AWS CLI, AWS APIs, AWS CloudFormation templates.

•    Familiarity with scripting languages - PowerShell, Python.

•    Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.

•    Knowledge of Private Cloud Platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.) (preferred)

•    Experience with AWS DevOps, GitHub, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation).

•    Experience in and/or knowledge of Workload Migration Tools as it pertains to AWS.

•    Be a self-initiated individual who consistently delivers high quality results with limited guidance and willingly trains, guides and positively influences others.

•    Effectively communicate to diverse technical and nontechnical audiences, including developers, technical leads, peer architects, delivery owners, business owners, senior leaders, etc.

•    Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and must be able to manage multiple requests at the same time.

•    CISSP

•    CISM
